Search results, social replies and token lists can contain lookalikes. Navigate to the project’s known domain and locate the official Mint in its token or market documentation.
- Prefer a canonical project domain.
- Be cautious with sponsored or copied pages.
Cross-check on an explorer
Open the Mint on a Solana explorer and inspect the account type, supply, decimals and authorities. The address on the explorer must exactly match the address published by the project.
- Compare the full address.
- Check the token program and parsed Mint data.
Cross-check the DEX pair
When trading, confirm that the DEX output token Mint is identical. If a project publishes a pool address, compare that too.
- Verify both pair tokens.
- Verify the pair address when available.
- Check liquidity before signing.
Save the verified reference
For repeated use, bookmark the canonical market page rather than repeatedly searching the ticker. This reduces exposure to copycat pages and fake token links.
